Skaris

Until then, our focus for this week is on Skaris, the most insular, secretive and paranoiac city of the Arclands. Skaris is born of the kind of religious fervour that has largely died out across Aestis. As the ancient religion of the now dead Keeper, Aruhvianism, slowly decays, Skaris is the city established in the aftermath of the Sundering that wages an endless war against its neighbours to claim the faith as its own. Ashtarian Aruhvianism, a particularly puritanical variant of the old faith, values purge, pain, poverty and piety as its core tenets.
