Hope and Progress for the VDM Community

Dear Sufferer,

We know how challenging it is to live with vitreous floaters. That is why we want to share some very encouraging progress from Dr. Jerry Sebag and our VDM Project team.

The largest study ever conducted on floaters has just been published, analyzing 651 patients from a single center. This provides strong scientific evidence that Vision Degrading Myodesopsia (VDM) is a serious condition — not just “benign spots.”

Next month, the American Medical Association will publish our Vitreous Floaters Functional Questionnaire (VFFQ). This will be the first validated tool to measure how floaters truly affect daily life. It will help doctors worldwide better understand and acknowledge the impact of VDM.

These achievements represent a turning point: your voices and struggles are finally being recognized at the highest scientific level. But this is only the beginning.

Support the project — Every contribution, big or small, helps us accelerate progress and bring hope to sufferers everywhere.

Together, we can change how the world sees VDM.

With hope,

The VDM Project Team
