1: Destination Highlight: Meadow Hot Springs: Kanosh, Utah

image

If you have been on Instagram or TikTok for more than a few days you have undoubtedly stumbled upon a beautifully edited photo of a gorgeous human exploring a hot spring and thought, “I have got to find more hot springs.”. Well you are in luck with this week's destination highlight. Not only is Meadow Hot Springs beautiful and easy to find but it’s FREE. Located on private property in Kanosh, Utah, Meadow Hot Springs is a must visit location as you explore everything that Utah has to offer. Please be sure to visit the donation boxes at the springs and clean up after yourself.

Camping: Boondocking is free for all parties. Be courteous to your fellow travelers and find a flat spot at the central parking area or adventure deeper to park alongside 2 of the 3 springs.

Activities: Enjoy the hot springs, each of the 3 has its own vibe and temperature for you to relax in and catch the beautiful sunset. Also, keep an eye out for the local free range cattle.

Things to know: If you plan to stay for a while make sure you bring the grocery necessities that you need. There are nearby stores for some things but supplies are limited.

3: Rooting Ritual for Nomads: Part I by Beth Zabiegalski

image

Hi, I'm Beth! My pronouns are she/her/hers. I'm a nomad, life coach (The Heart Wants Adventure), and baby green witch. On the road, I've been working on some rituals that help me to maintain my sense of place and rootedness however far I may travel. I'm excited to share some of my practices with you so that you can create "home" wherever you are as well!

For this ritual, I'm going to share my rooting "elixir" recipe this week, then tune in again next week for a little rooting ritual to go along with it. Enjoy!

Rooting "Elixir" Beverage

Enjoy this beverage any time, but especially during a transitional period of the day - so sunrise or sunset.

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz hot water (for renewal and flowing with change)
  • 0.5 oz cacao - get 10% off Heartblood cacao here (for grounding & connection)
  • 1 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon (for increased spiritual connectedness)
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger (for healing)
  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper (for rooting & heart connection)
  • 1 tbsp coconut (or MCT) oil, optional (for protection & purification)

Drink this out of something beautiful (a hand-crafted mug, or one that is special to you), and have a spoon handy, as cacao tends to settle. You can utilize a clockwise stirring motion to reflect on the things you want to increase or draw toward you in this leg of your journey. Drink, watch the sunrise/sunset, and welcome the transition you are living into.

You can finish this time by saying any phrase that lends your energy to the moment (may it be so, etc.). Here's mine to close this segment: "Heck, yes."
