This week's newsletter is powered by @Vanlifepride. In honor of Pride Month we are excited to share their page and create a more inclusive community.

  1. Russian River Destination Highlight:

image

If you are looking for a hidden gym in Northern California that includes beautiful scenery, access to river sports, and fun local spots to visit look no further than the Russian River.

Recommended Activities:

Paddle, Kayak or Float: This is by far the best way to see the local area. There are plenty of options to put in and out but we recommend going from Steelhead Beach to Sunset Beach in Forestville, a 2 mile stretch of beauty and fun.

image

The Russian River Beer Revival and BBQ Cookout: Although cancelled in 2020, this is sure to be a great time if you can make it. Check out the link to stay up to date on upcoming dates and announcements. More Info

Places to Stay:

Schoolhouse Canyon Park: A little on the pricey side but one of the nicest campgrounds we have seen in a long time. Clean, quiet, decent connectivity, access to water & trash, and full bath & shower facilities make it worth the money if those are a priority. More info here: http://www.schoolhousecanyon.com/Home.html

Other Spots to Visit:

The Farmhand Deli

Stumptown Brewery

SUP Odyssey Rentals

2: Out of Office - Reclaiming Balance by Anthony Zabiegalski

If you have been a newsletter subscriber since the beginning you read Anthony's first post about life on the road and finding balance. Check out his second article linked in the title.

"With balance on its way to being restored, it’s time to start bringing some work back into the picture. This work will not be with a new employer, however; this will be the work of self discovery, personal development, and future planning."

3: Hike Highlight: Mt. Tamalpais:

With plenty of hike options and only 48 minutes from San Francisco, Mt. Tamalpais is a must visit location in Northern California.

Recently we stopped through and tried out the Cataract Falls Trail, High Marsh, Kent Trail, and Helen Market Trail. At 7.7 miles and rated as hard it was a good challenge and not for the faint at heart. But don't be afraid if you are looking for something a little more tame, there are plenty of options. Check out AllTrails for shorter or less challenging options.

After your hike be sure to check out Stinson Beach for refreshing food and drink to replenish your body and mind.

Thank you for taking the time to read the newsletter and support of our contributors. Be on the lookout for upcoming updates on our first @nomadic_volunteers events coming this summer.

Have a great rest of the week.
