Here’s our analysis for the week ahead at Value Flow Trading:

USD: Last week, the Dollar was heavily bearish as it sold off towards the daily shoulder level. This was as a result of the ongoing tariff spread from the United States.

This week, we expect further selling into the daily shoulder level, followed by a continuation of the buy move.

This creates first BUY (LONG) opportunities, followed by a SELL (SHORT) on pairs such as GBP/USD and EUR/USD.

JPY: Last week, the Yen Basket was bearish right from the market open till Friday at the release of the interest rate. However, we saw massive strength in the Yen during the press conference when further intervention for the Yen was announced.

This week, we anticipate a continuation of the bullish correction on the Yen.

This presents long-term SELL opportunities on Yen-correlated pairs.

GOLD: Gold was overall bullish last week, aiming at our projected high for this quarter even in the third week of the quarter. This shows the buying momentum on the precious metal is very strong, as it remains the most preferred safe-haven asset in this trade-war season.

This week, we expect a test of the 5,000 level, then a pullback.
