Dear Friends,

I hope that you are all keeping well.

In 2021 we published Seán Padraic Birnie's evocative and very well received debut collection I Would Haunt You if I Could. Two stories from the collection were selected for Year's Best anthologies: "Hand-Me-Down" in Year's Best Dark Fantasy & Horror, Vol. 3, and "New To it All" in Best British Short Stories 2022. It is, in my view, and the view of several reviewers, an extraordinary collection of bodily, psychological, and ontological horrors.

There's a brand new review of the collection that has just appeared in the marvellous magazine Seize the Press. Reviewer Zachary Gillan deems the collection “... a masterful rondo of weird fiction, with its unsettling refrains and ontologically-troubled variations.”

More praise for I Would Haunt You if I Could

“Genuinely unnerving. An impressive debut.”

—  The Toronto Star

“Filled with thought-provoking, character-driven, psychologically horrific tales that veer slightly and satisfyingly into the weird, this collection is reminiscent of the deeply unsettling and disorienting worlds of Samanta Schweblin and Dan Chaon.”

—  Library Journal

In that spirit I've put the eBook on sale for just $2. I do hope that you will, if you haven't already, take a chance on this amazing collection. If you like what we are doing, I think you'll love this.
