Dear AI-SMART 2026 Participants,
As you all know, the AI-SMART 2026 Conference, scheduled for next week (September 23-25, 2026), will be held in a hybrid format (virtually, online via Zoom, and in person).
Presentation of submitted research is NOT obligatory, and it is NOT a precondition for abstract/paper publication later on.
Nonetheless, there are four presentation options available to interested authors:
Wednesday - September 23, 2026
1. Online presentation via Zoom (live presentation)
Participants who would like to join us online will be able to present their research live via Zoom. Each presenter will have 7 minutes for the presentation and 1 minute for Q&A.
Authors who exceed the 7-minute mark will be alerted and given an additional 1 minute to conclude their presentation.
Authors who opt for an online presentation via Zoom will share their own presentations directly through the platform; therefore, there is no need to send presentations to the conference organizers in advance.
Thursday - September 24, 2026
2. On-site presentation in Belgrade (Institute of Economic Sciences, Zmaj Jovina 12, Belgrade)
Each presenter will have 7 minutes for the presentation and 1 minute for Q&A.
Authors who exceed the 7-minute mark will be alerted and given an additional 1 minute to conclude their presentation.
Authors who opt to present in person should send us their presentations no later than Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. CEST by replying to this email.
Friday - September 25, 2026
3. Virtual presentation
Participants may submit a prepared voice-over presentation in MP4 format (with or without video), with a maximum duration of 7 minutes. Please note that the use of AI-generated voice or video is not allowed.
Presentations should be uploaded to Vimeo (www.vimeo.com). Authors should copy the embed code of the uploaded video into a new Word document and send the document as an attachment to [email protected] no later than Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. CEST.
Virtual presentations will be listed in the conference agenda and posted on the conference website, where they will be accessible for preview on the conference day and for the following 7 days. Authors who opt for this presentation format will also receive a certificate of presentation.
4. Virtual poster presentation
A virtual poster presentation is available to authors of accepted abstracts and may replace an oral paper presentation.
Each virtual poster must include: paper title, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), corresponding author contact details (email mandatory; ORCID recommended), research aim and objectives, methodology, key results, implications, keywords.
Technical requirements:
Format: PDF, single page
Orientation: portrait or landscape
Recommended size: A0 or A1
Language: English
Maximum file size: 10 MB
Clear visual structure and readable font sizes
Approved posters will be published in a dedicated Virtual Poster Section on the conference website and will be accessible before, during, and after the conference.
Authors choosing this option should submit their poster in PDF format by replying to this email no later than Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. CEST. If the file is too large to be sent as an email attachment, WeTransfer may be used to share the poster.
Presentation Guidelines
Each oral or virtual presentation should be engaging and informative and contain no more than 10 slides. It should clearly state the purpose or rationale behind the research, including the research hypotheses or questions and the methodology used to address them.
Authors should conclude by explaining how their findings can be applied in both scientific research and practical contexts. The final slide should contain the contact details of the corresponding author.
Authors are free to choose their own presentation design.
Please ensure that your presentation adheres to these guidelines.
Tomorrow, you will receive an additional email containing our 3-question form, where you should confirm your participation and preferred presentation format. If we do not receive your final confirmation, your presentation will not be listed in the conference agenda.
The conference agenda will be available by Saturday afternoon, September 19, 2026.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
We look forward to welcoming you to the AI-SMART 2026 Conference.
Kind regards,
Nikolina Vrcelj, PhD
