Your Gap Year Could Change Your Basketball Future.

5 ProLab sessions for €60. Train your decision-making, confidence and game awareness in Amsterdam.

Do you know a basketball player taking a gap year? Someone between schools, preparing for college basketball, exploring professional opportunities, or simply looking to take their game to another level?

Then we'd love for you to introduce them to Ubuntu Basketball ProLab in Amsterdam.

A gap year can become one of the most valuable periods in a young athlete's development. But only if that time is used with intention.

At Ubuntu Basketball, we believe the difference between a player who simply trains more and a player who actually improves comes down to something fundamental:

Learning to see the game differently.

What if five sessions could change how you approach the game?

We're introducing an opportunity for ambitious players to experience 5 ProLab sessions for just €60.

That's five opportunities to train in an environment built around game intelligence, decision-making, adaptability, and mental preparation.

Our promise is straightforward.

We are committed to helping you improve at least one or two meaningful aspects of your game.

Not necessarily your shooting percentage overnight. Not a miraculous transformation.

But something that matters when you step onto the court:

These are qualities that can make a real difference when competing for minutes, preparing for college basketball, or pursuing the next stage of your career.

Why ProLab is different from your club or team practice

Your club coach has an important responsibility: preparing an entire team to compete and win.

But how much time can they realistically dedicate to your individual decision-making, your ability to recognize advantages, or your personal development needs?

That's where ProLab comes in.

We don't replace your club or team. We provide the individualized learning environment that traditional team practices rarely have enough time to deliver.

Our sessions combine three evidence-informed approaches:

Constraint-Led Approach: Learning through realistic basketball problems that require players to discover effective solutions.

Differential Learning: Developing adaptability by experiencing movement and situational variability rather than repeating identical drills.

Representative Learning Design: Training with the information, pressure and decisions that players actually encounter in competition.

The result is an environment where you don't just practice basketball skills.

You learn when, why and how to use them.

Meet Fonz and Connor: Learning through consistency

Players like Fonz and Connor illustrate the commitment to learning that we encourage at ProLab.

By making individual development part of their regular basketball routines, they have opportunities to encounter unfamiliar situations, explore different solutions and progressively build their understanding of the game.

The objective isn't to look perfect during training.

It's to become increasingly comfortable with uncertainty, to recognize emerging advantages and to make better decisions when the game becomes unpredictable.

That's what consistent development looks like.

And it's exactly the kind of learning experience we want more ambitious players to discover.

Your opportunity: Five sessions for €60

Location: Sportcentrum VU, Amsterdam

Training days: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Duration: 90 minutes per session

Introductory package: 5 sessions for €60

Not taking a gap year? You can still help.

Perhaps you're a parent, a coach, an agent, a former player, or someone who knows a young athlete searching for direction.

You might know someone who has finished secondary school, is preparing for a US college opportunity, or isn't getting the individual attention they need at their current club.

Forward this email to them. One introduction could make a meaningful difference in their development.

Keep learning beyond the basketball court

Our commitment to development doesn't end when the session finishes.

Through Ubuntu Basketball's digital learning resources, players and coaches can continue exploring basketball intelligence, player development, game analysis and modern coaching approaches.

Your next level starts with how you learn.

After more than three decades working across professional basketball, international player development and high-performance environments, one principle continues to guide my work:

The best players aren't simply the ones who practice the most. They're the ones who learn to adapt, recognize and solve the problems the game presents.

If you're serious about your basketball future, give yourself five sessions to experience a different way of learning.

5 sessions. €60. One opportunity to see the game differently.
