After a bit of a hiatus, we are jamming again!
You are getting this note because at one time you came to NYC-area balloon jams. That email list is now super old, and we are basically starting over. It's time once again build up a community of twisters and balloon enthusiasts in the Big Apple.
R. David Robinson, Dave Brenn and I are hosting monthly balloon jams in Manhattan and you are officially invited. We have a great space right between Penn Station and Port Authority so it's easy to get to. And I really hope you can join us. It will be great to catch up with a fellow "old-timer".
The website is the same, nytwisters.org, but there are new balloons, new venues, and new people. And hopefully you to help ease the transition.
WHEN: The next jam is on Tuesday, May 2nd from 5pm to 8 or 9pm.
WHERE: The Joyce Public House, 315 W. 39th Street (btwn 8th and 9th Aves), NY, NY 10018
COST: Free!
If you've read this far then I have a surprise for you. The great Willy Monroe from Spain will be our special guest at this jam. Willy is one of the most decorated and innovative balloon artists of our generation and this is a rare opportunity to hang out with him. So you don't want to miss Tuesday's jam.
