Happy New Year !

- One of the longest escalators in the world is in Chongqing, China. A 2 minute, 30 second ride connects the underground railway station (at the top) to the overground station (at the bottom).
- Before perfecting the design we know today, inventors experimented with ride-on varieties like this one from 1902:
Join us tomorrow at 8:00pm GMT for a brand new live quiz! We don't have any questions about escalators, but we will have drinks, books, music and sports.
See you there!
