Two bits of coaching and one thing to remember

Hey there, ,
There were two bits of coaching in the last two days that have come up again and again and I think might help you too.
Ready?
First: as a teacher, the job is to reach ALL the people - every kid, no matter if they want it, no matter if they are ready, no matter if it's a fit for them, no matter what.
And one of the thing that's different between teaching and business is that in business, reaching everyone is NOT your job.
As a business, your job is to reach YOUR PEOPLE - the ones who get it, who want what you have, who are ready, who value your work, who fit.
This is a tricky thing to shift - logically we get it but practically we're conditioned to try to make everyone happy, have them all like us, have them all get it. We don't like no, or confused, or people who don't get it... and we tie ourselves into pretzels trying to convince people to get what we have who we wouldn't even want to work with.
It takes work to shift this people-pleasing, teaching all the folks tendency... but it's SO worth it :)
No matter what, this is your reminder that you are not a pretzel. Knots aren't required, friend. Please stop tying yourself into them.
Second: business growth is created through connection.
If you are not actually talking to human beings, it's slowing you down.
There's no other way to say this.
Yes, you're online. Yes, you use social media. Yes, you share.
But growth is created through HUMAN connection - maybe you meet those humans online or through social media or somewhere else, but talking to people is the most important thing you can do differently today.
More human connection = more growth. Always. Every time. In every business I've had or worked with.
Please, go talk to some people. If you're not sure where to find them, hit reply and ask, I have all the ideas :)
And that one thing to remember: what you do, what you know, what you have to share is not only valuable, but it's worth being paid for.
Yes, it feels simple to you because you KNOW how to do what you do. That's the magic. It's not simple for everyone else and that's the value.
Please, what you have matters. And people want to pay you for it.
K?
Warmly,
Sara
PS. That connection piece? The second one? This is 1/3 of the super duper SIMPLE sales process that you'll learn in the Selling for Weirdos course. Not sure how to connect effectively and then turn connection into sales (without being salesy or gross)? You'll get it in the course. You can check out the details here.
