I thought I was through the list of things I had to say about transformation this week, but - per usual, ha! - turns out there's one more thing.

It's this:

People aren't at all required to tell us about their transformations.

Even if that transformation came from work you did with them or for them - the transformation is theirs, and they are not required to announce how they changed, why, when, in what way.

Why is this what I wanted to share today?

Well. Here's why...

Sometimes I get notes from former clients that surprise me.

Sometimes I wonder if they got what they needed from me - I worry that the transformation wasn't big enough, bold enough, clear enough... I think every business owner, esp. use service providers, worry this way.

And then I get notes like this one:

This is from a former group coaching client who wasn't as loud about the transformations from coaching.

I knew I helped. I knew it made a difference... and also, I wondered... was it enough? Did she feel good about it? Did it *really* help her?

And the answer - in the form of this best-ever-version of no - was yes.

Her time in group coaching - almost 18 months ago now - is still making an impact in her business today, every day.

It's a reminder that people don't owe us information about their transformations, and also, when they don't tell us?

We don't need to assume the worst. ;) We can KNOW we helped and keep going.

So for you, today?

Two things:

• Where are you searching for feedback/input/information from people that they don't owe you? In what ways are you assuming that this means the worst, and what could you assume instead that would be both more helpful and likely (certainly) more accurate?

• Where can you give someone who helped YOU feedback/input/information about YOUR transformation that would make their day? Because we all WANT this, but also it doesn't always occur to us to GIVE it.
