Hellooo !

Evaluation is business FUEL.

And yet... we skip it.

Why?

The most common reason I hear (and have certainly tried myself!) is not enough

TIME.

'I don't have time to do a full evaluation.'

'I don't have time to collect all the data I'll need.'

'I have too many other things to do that have to get finished first...'

Sound familiar?

Listen, I hear you.

These (and more) are 100% things I have also told myself in an effort to NOT evaluate.

In fact, it just took me a whole week to talk myself into doing my own evaluation for June.

But this reason? This not enough time to evaluate?

Really, it's a HUGE load of baloney.

Truly.

Friends.

USEFUL evaluation does NOT take a lot of time.

If you've ever taught anyone anything, you KNOW this to be true.

Sometimes all it takes is 2 minutes to know if something is working or not, and to decide what to do next. (and really, this is ALL that evaluation needs to be...)

AND?

You also have already had experiences where you KNOW that the learning that comes as a result of evaluation SAVES you time on the other side when you actually know what's happening and why.

So this whole 'I don't have time' thing?

It's not actually a thing. (well, unless you are into doing extra work... in which case, have at...)

The truth: Evaluation is FUEL for growth.

Evaluation does NOT take a lot of time.

Evaluation doesn't NOT have to be complicated.

Evaluation is NOT scary (esp. when done on the regular...).
