A thought, a challenge, a rejection, and a question

Apr 02, 2024 7:28 pm

Hey there, ,

This morning I had a thought while I was writing in my journal.

And it wasn't one that helped me in any way.

The thought was that sometimes (a lot of times) I create things last minute, and maybe that's a way for me to give myself an 'easy out' if they don't work... it's like an excuse in advance if I fly by the seat of my pants vs. planning.

So I brought that thought to my coach this morning.

Who heard it once and immediately called bullshit (even though it really DID NOT feel like bullshit...).

Turns out she was right (and since she's on this email list, she'll be glad to hear it, ha!).

Why?

Because here's what she reminded me --- I often create great things quickly. Some of my best work comes when I keep the timelines short precisely BECAUSE the timeline is short (and I don't get time to over think...).

She reminded me that creating BIG results doesn't take BIG time.

[which, btw, is ALSO true for YOU and the things YOU create...]

*and before you keep reading, take a sec to take that one on board. Big results do NOT take big time. Not for you either.*

All of which leads me to invite you to a 7-day CHALLENGE I'm running starting next week, on April 11th.

It's called From Journaling to Action.

It's about strengthening your journaling practice (because that in and of itself is worth it) AND then taking that practice and turning it into ACTION.

Because when we move directly from our journals --- where we notice our own bullshit, remember who EXACTLY we are, and tune into who we are becoming --- straight into DOING the things that matter in our businesses, BIG things happen (also without nearly the drama, the questioning, or the time black-holes).

Please join us here.

The challenge is going to kickoff April 11th at 11:30 am EST live in the UNCompilcating Business FB community with a workshop around both WHY we should connect journaling and business actions and HOW exactly to actually do it.

The kick off will be followed by 6 days of journaling + actions for you. I'll send the prompt and the to-do, and you'll jump in... in less than 15 minutes a day.

Then, on April 18th we'll meet again live via Zoom to talk wins, challenges, struggles, take aways and (most importantly!) next steps.

It's going to be AMAZING. Can't wait!!

Okay... so I've covered the thought and the challenge...

What about the rejection and the question?

Welp.

I had this other crazy thought today that I'd play around an run a FB ad about this challenge, just to be able to share it with more people... because it's going to be super helpful.

Which was a good idea... until, in true FB form, it was rejected.

Will I go back and figure out what I did wrong? Maybe... I mean, if it's figureoutable (and we all know FB...sooooo, that's a big maybe, ha!).

But in the meantime, here's my question for you.

If you know or love someone who you think might also want to join us for this challenge, would you please share it with them?

Feel free to forward this email, drop them the link, tag them to this FB post or this LI post... whatever would be simplest for you.

Your support in getting the word out is ALWAYS appreciated :)

And, as always, if I can be of support to YOU?

Hit reply - I'm here.

Here's to more journaling, more growth, more impact, and less bullshit :)

Warmly,
