Happy MONDAY!

Last week I had a whole bunch of conversations about the struggle that is 'finding clients'.

In teaching, your ‘clients’ were delivered to your door. They we assigned to your space. They showed up whether you wanted them or not.

In business, it’s not the same.

No one assigns us clients.

And as a result, we all think a lot about 'FINDING' our people.

(in particular, finding the people that will say YES, and pay money...)

It feels like a scavenger hunt - you think 'if I just look one more place, of course they’ll be there,' or 'I’ll finally find one in the next spot'.

It's frustrating because you're turning over all the rocks, and scrambling around LOOKING everywhere, and 'your people' are nowhere to be found.

But actually, that’s not how finding your people works.

(And in a lot of ways you have already proved this to be true by looking and looking and looking and NOT finding...)

So, how does it work?

Well, I'm happy to tell you that FINDING your people is NOT remotely as much work as you are making it.

It's actually VERY simple.

It requires you to DO less, and BE more.

What the heck does that mean?!

1. STOP hunting for clients. Now. Seriously.
2. START knowing that they are already with you.

That is THE trick.

FINDING clients isn't about THEM.

It's about YOU.

This is EVERYTHING in business.

Learning how to stop hunting around and start KNOWING they are with you already, ready and willing to pay you, changes it all.

And yeah, it IS that simple.

But no, it's not always easy because we humans REALLY like to make simple things complicated.
