Have you ever bought a pair of pants that just. didn't. fit?

They should have, because they were the right size... but there was just something about the cut, the fabric, the style that just didn't work.

And so the pants didn't fit.

Maybe you (unlike what I do) had the sense to return them.

Or maybe you were like me and kept them, thinking that at some point they WILL fit.

Maybe you keep trying them on thinkin it's something wrong with YOU and not something wrong with the pants (even though it's TOTALLY the pants).

Well.

In business, sales strategies are like pants.

Sometimes they fit... and sometimes they don't - even when you think they should, see they fit OTHER people, see they do fit someone but somehow they don't fit YOU.

And just like we do with pants, we assume WE are the problem...rather than the pants.

But what if this is bullshit?

What if the pants ARE the problem?

What if the strategy IS the problem?

What then?

What if they way that we're taught is the 'right way' to sell just doesn't fit everyone the way they ('the experts') say it does?

Well... then maybe it's time for something different.
