Selling without Salesy Challenge - Day 3 has arrived!

Helloooo!

Welcome to Day 3!

Today is about INVITING vs. selling.

The difference between these two ideas is the KEY to learning to sell what you offer without ever feeling slimy again.

You will:

  • Get clear on the difference between selling and inviting by thinking about PARTIES! This includes both actually inviting people to the party, the different ways people RESPOND to party invitations (RSVPs!) and what they mean for sales.
  • Create a clearer understanding of the invitations you are (or aren't) issuing right now, and exactly what makes an offer feel inviting (or not).

Here's the link to the video: https://youtu.be/VbqcXw3bzfI

Your action items:

  • Shop YOUR initiations. What kinds of invitations are you issuing? What do they sound like?
  • For each invitation, ask yourself: Would you say YES to this? Why or why not? (Be as specific as possible here, the clearer the reasons, the easier it will be to see patterns/make changes!)
  • Create a chart of comparing the ideas of inviting and selling (telling). What are your thoughts about each one? How do they each feel?

Ooo! And Bonus #4

(and yes, stilllllll optional...)

Knowing what your invitations look and feel like is VITAL, but it can also be incredibly useful to do a little research into how other people/companies invite you in.

(This is NOT about finding the 'right' way to do it - instead, it's about figuring out what feels inviting to YOU and why.)

Today's bonus worksheet is an Invitation Scavenger Hunt.

It's built to help you think about what makes an invitation effective/successful.

You can access the bonus sheet via the files section of my FB group or you can hit reply and I'll share it with you directly via email.

And I'd love to know your thoughts about invitations at this point - hit reply and tell me all about them :).

See you tomorrow (we're moving from studying invitations to MAKING them)!

Warmly,

Sara
