So often clients come to coaching and say something like 'I just don't know what to do,' or 'I have no idea HOW TO DO any of this...'

I bet you can relate, I know I can.

If you're in this space - the one where you're thinking 'wth. What do I even DO next?' - this is for you. [and if you're not right now? First, FAB! Second, hang on to this, you know we all visit this particular version of uncertainty from time to time]

When you aren't sure what to do, where to start, how to choose, if you even should keep going, do these two things:

First: make a list of people you have ALREADY helped, and what they got from you.

Maybe they paid you, maybe they didn't - doesn't matter. Return to the idea that you DO help people, you know HOW to help people, and that when you are DOING the thing, you're AMAZING.

Ground yourself in that.

Second: go help someone.

Seriously. Anyone. Have a friend who is struggling? Call her. Be present. Help. See a FB post go by and know the answer/have an idea? Share it. See a video that resonates with you? TELL that person. Got an email with a question you can respond to? Reply and be useful.

THEN.

Ask yourself: what do I want to do next?

99 times out of 100 re-grounding yourself in that you DO help people, you DO have expertise, and you ARE useful followed by ACTUALLY being useful is enough to shake off the 'wth. am. I. doing. here'-ness.

And if it's not?

Just pick something to do next. Seriously.

Stop putting so much pressure on yourself to choose RIGHT and just PICK.

You actually can't do you wrong - it's not a thing - so just DO SOMETHING.
