August 2, 2024: Hey — Welcome to the inaugural issue of the Toon Raccoon newsletter! Thank you for signing up! Since there hasn't been a lot of time for folks to join yet, this one should be pretty short, but I did want to get the ball rolling.

As I've mentioned, this newsletter won't replace other social media, but supplement it. It'll be a monthly digest of the most important news to make sure friends and fans don't miss anything; and should any particular platform unexpectedly implode, I can still reach out to you (or you to me) here. So again, thank you, and let's see how this goes!

This Daily Life

Basically, the past few months have been busy. I usually get the bulk of my work from my main freelance client over the late spring and summer, but this year has been a lot more work than I expected. Good for the savings account, bad for my schedule! I've still got a lot to slog through, but I'll be trying to get back to more fun, furry-related work as soon as I can.

I also celebrated my birthday a couple weeks ago! My boyfriend and I were joined with a few other friends at Gino's, our favorite Italian hole-in-the-wall style restaurant a few miles from here. As always, the servers were fun, the food was excellent, and I had a beautiful slice of cheesecake from the kitchen!

Upcoming Events

Anthrocon was HUGE this year! … but, it's in the past! My next convention coming up with be DenFur, August 23-25th at the Sheraton Denver Downtown. I haven't been to this con in a few years, so if you're going to be there, please stop and say hello! And of course, if you'd like to pre-order a badge to pick up at the con, I've still got a few slots available!

Patreon Update

Unfortunately, due to all my other work, I had to pause my Patreon campaign for a couple months—BUT, it will be re-opening on August 17, and you'll be able to join then if you'd like! $2-tier-and-up patrons all get to see My Bigger Boyfriend strips two weeks before everyone else. And $6-tier-and-up patrons get to read my current exclusive Coyena Comics story, How I Met Your Coyena Dad! … It's a flashback story to how Zephryus' parents first met way back in college while Boreas was working on a lab experiment, and an accident caused wacky growth shenanigans to ensue! I try to post a new page every week, and this story is about two-thirds complete right now, and will resume later this month.

Art Digest

I'll try to post at least a few recent bits of artwork each month. I haven't had much time to do anything new, but recently was International Tiger Day, so I dug up this sketch from a few years ago of a very hunky not-quite-Hobbes tiger, that was part of a larger sequence but was one of my favorite panels of the bunch.
