He wore the soldier camo...

"You wouldn't believe this! Why are people like this for goodness sake?"
"Ah ah! How come he was beaten to the point that he fainted…
"And yet they still carried him away without attending to him"
"Is this the Nigeria we deserve, is this the Nigeria that we are looking forward to?"
I know you're wondering what's happening
is Tomi drunk or what?
No, I'm not.
Here is a little backstory for you.
Few days ago, a video was recorded of how a student in my school was beaten because…
He wore the soldier camo.
That's not all,
He was taken to the Barracks as well due to this one fact.
I was not surprised because I've heard something like that before but the fact that it happened to someone in my school felt somehow.
Funny thing is, the sheriffs on duty did nothing to help this boy at all.
Then this got me thinking…
"Is it really a crime to wear the soldier camo? Is there a law backing up the fact that wearing a camo is a sin?"
And some other random thoughts were running through my head.
You see, as much as I want to justify the actions of the soldiers (to give them the benefit of the doubt)
I couldn't find a reason to.
It is just inhumane of them to do that to anyone not to mention a student.
I don't have much to say to you today,
But if you can, please
Pray for Nigeria. Pray for our country. She needs our prayers.
That's all I have for you today.
See you next week Tuesday.
Love,
Tomi.
