You're in your room on your bed with your pillow on your lap, your hands on it and your earpiece plugged into your ears…

After few minutes, a notification dropped and it brought you out of your wondering and IMAGINATIONS…

Deciding to ignore it, you continued with what you were doing earlier…

"Y'all should not disturb me, I'm trying to think!!!"

Only for another notification to drop a few seconds later and this time, with a bit of anger showing on your face…

You decided to silent your phone but in the process, your eyes caught a line in the message…

Without wasting any time, you immediately clicked on the message, read through the contents and your breathe ceased for a minute…

"Oh No! No! No! No! No!" You kept repeating no like it's your father's name…

"This really can't be happening. Whhh…whh.whahhh.. what happ…. happ…happened?"

"I thought…"

I'm sorry your email is just coming in now.

My exam is in 6 days and I totally forgot I hadn't sent you an email until this evening. 

Is that my excuse? Yes. 

Am I forgiven? Yes. 

Thank you. 

You see, there are basic and important things that you need to pay attention to when it comes to the marketing world…

(Now, I'm not just talking about buying and selling of goods and services, I'm talking about marketing in very sense)

If there's one thing I've learnt for awhile now, it is… You're are always selling yourself directly or indirectly.

Want to make new friends? You will sell yourself to become their friend.

Want to make more sales? You will sell yourself alongside your products

Want to pass across a message? Trust me, you will sell yourself

And so on…

Funny thing is this, sometimes you don't even know that's what you're doing until someone tells you or you realize it yourself…

And this brings me the what I have for you today.

One good way to sell yourself, your business, your good, your product well…

Is to maximize the power of STORYTELLING. 

And for you to tell a good story, I will have you know that Storytelling is a product of IMAGINATION.

Well, I won't be talking about that (imagination) today or maybe forever.

I'm sure storytelling is not a new word to you…

If it is, go back to your primary school and collect your school fees back, all of it, you've been cheated. 

The story up there is nothing sort of imagination and it got your attention as well

So, your storytelling should be: 

• Interesting
• Attention grabbing
• Full of curiosity and gist
• It should paint a picture, an emotion or both. 
• It should be relatable

And this is where I draw the curtain. 

I have to go back to reading.
