Let peace reign

Hey ,

I did something not so nice last Friday…

It wasn't intentional but I did it

And after a few minutes that it happened, I started feeling bad.

It got to a point that I was convicted in my spirit to say sorry even though I wasn't the one at fault.

And what exactly did I do?

Okay, let me give a better explanation.

So on Friday, we had a practical class…

Then it got to a point that it was so rowdy in the lab and people were moving here and there…

So I tried moving to a place to speak to my roommate (we had the practical together)

And I mistakenly stepped on a student…

Obviously, the place was so rowdy so I didn't even know I did that until she mentioned it.

However, if she had mentioned it in a nice way, it would have been better…

Guess what she said?

"Ah ah! Oju du Yi ni (is your eyes paining you), e de ma farabale abi ewo go ni (try calming down, abi what is it?)

I was about to say sorry when she said I stepped on her but as she continued with her statement,

I just looked at her, "told her that, eh eh! I didn't step on her intentionally and that "o pon mo yin oo"

Then, I did what I wanted to do by going towards that side, left the place and didn't say the "sorry" she wanted to hear so bad.

I felt good at that point.

But later when I reflected on what happened, I immediately made up an excuse for her in my head so that what just happened won't affect my day…

So I got convinced to say sorry and was about to go say sorry to her after the practical until she said something nasty…

Oh my!!!

Thank God for the help of the Holy Spirit, I could have gotten angry right there and spoilt the whole thing, but I was helped…

And as per bigger person, "I told her I was sorry and I didn't mean to say what I said earlier"

Let peace reign.

I've apologised already but I felt I should let you know and tell you the lessons I learnt from that confrontation.

And one thing is sure… I won't do that again with the help of God.

Here's the lesson or (s)

1 Making up excuses for people in your head about their behaviour will save you a lot of stress

(I know this and I got reminded of it again).

It saved me the headache of having someone in mind (if you're not careful, that's a very subtle way of abhorring malice in your heart).

Be careful

2. As a believer, you will most likely be the one to say "Sorry" often

When you're at a fault and even when you're not.

Obviously, you should say sorry when you at fault

And if you claim to have the Holy Spirit, He will convict you to apologise so as to let peace reign.

And it will be to your good if you obey Him.

It might be hard…

(it was hard because I was not the one who started the whole thing, but it was necessary to obey Him).

We learn everyday and I did learn on Friday.

So, Iree oo.

Love and Light,

Jesutofunmi.

P. S.: Merry Christmas in Advance baby.
