Howdy ,
Christopher Nolan is at again.
He is teaching lessons through his movie making skills.
No, I'm not referring to his latest non-action movie - Oppenheimer (more talk than action😉)
I'm talking about something way back.
It's from his 2010 masterpiece "Inception"
One of the things we pick up from the movie is the need to develop the ability to challenge the notion of reality and be willing to question the world around us. It reminds us to be critical thinkers and not take everything at face value.
The easiest reality we have is the one we have created for ourselves. It's a bubble that we put around us to keep us safe.
Now you have to step out of the bubble and have your reality challenged.
This is what you do when you ask people to tell how they perceive you and what you do in the workplace.
You are coming out of your reality and taking a walk into their reality.
As you do that, you need to take notes on how both realities are different or similar.
This is what today's session was about.
You are prepared to take the walk on the wild side without loosing yourself.
Catch the full story on the replay if you missed the session.
And use the 10 questions in the workbook to carry out your personal perception audit at work.
Your future self will be grateful to your present self for doing this.
As always, I am here to support you over the 31-day experience.
Here is to your continued success.
Tata,
Tola
