Howdy ,
I spent some time yesterday talking with folks who find it difficult to believe that a good person can enter into a terrain filled with bad people who create bad outcomes and still be referred to as a good person.
They refused to be convinced by the story of Daniel.
Daniel served under not-so-good kings who also did bad stuff but he maintained his goodness.
I bet some of the Israelites that lived in his time might have considered him a sellout.
By doing his work well and delivering great service, he was prospering bad regimes.
Sometimes, we overthink our roles at work.
We are to shine as light in the small stages we have been given at work.
We may not change the whole culture of the office and it may just be one person that we bring a supernatural experience of God to - this may just be the additional reason we are there.
And these people may not even change. But we have played our part.
Nebuchadnezzar didnot convert to Judaism and neither did Darius from experiencing God through Daniel. The most they did was acknowledge His power and existence.
And that may just be the extra you bring in the difficult workplace you are in.
You shine differently because of Jesus in you.
As always
Keep Multiplying what you have been given by God in life.
Tata,
Tola
