Welcome to the July 30th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week
By the time you are reading this, I would have completed "The Workplace Power Leverage Session" a 31-day career accelerator for value-driven professionals.
The program was a commitment that I made to myself to show up consistently for people.
Showing up meant I had to prepare a curriculum with follow-up assignments spread over 31 days.
I had to get up earlier to set up and show up ready to teach.
Was it worth it?
For me, Yes.
I hope it was worth it for everyone that showed up or watched the replay videos.
I know it was worth it for some.
Those who shared their feedback with me.
I will most definitely take a holiday in August from doing anything like this.
Yep, need to recharge my batteries for the next phase.
I am better because of the commitment I made to myself to show up.
Things I Learnt
1- Always Create Options: The only way to keep moving forward in business and work is to keep creating options.
The availability of options generates momentum.
This is one of the things I can feel in the business.
Over the last couple of months, it's been a bit challenging.
As someone who thrives on being able to see options, not seeing them was a stress point for me.
I had to stop my French classes because my mind could not cope with the mental bandwidth for looking for options and learning a new language.
Yes, I can restart my French classes because I can see options for the business.
Options give freedom and peace of mind.
2- Be Prepared: The recent speaking engagements I have had are usually at short notice.
But I was prepared.
It reminds me of something my coach told me. He encouraged me to create a learning experience that gives me the freedom to go as deep as I want to go anytime I want to.
This has simplified things for me.
When I am called, I just need to decide on what sort of experience I want to create.
Afterwards, I am simply doing plug-and-play from the part of the learning experience I want to speak from.
There is nothing that beats preparation.
Being prepared for opportunities I don't have yet.
Being prepared for opportunities I expect to have.
Being prepared for opportunities that are bigger than me
Being prepared for opportunities that will create the kind of multiple impacts I want.
Being prepared.
Every time.
Even when no one is watching.
This is my objective.
Postscript
May you find the persistence to keep preparing even when no one is watching you. May your preparation help you show up as the best of how you can perform. Amen.
