Welcome to the June 2nd edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week
I did it.
I launched my book - in a way consistent with why I wrote the book.
I wrote the book because I wanted to provide value to a group of people in a way that would be remarkable.
And so the launch was designed to be remarkable and valuable focusing on the people who came.
My special guest delivered.
I have had request for the replay of the launch event. And I know it’s not because of my personality.
A lot to do with the value that people got from the event.
This is how I want to serve people.
Every time
And every opportunity I get.
Things I Learnt
1 - Opportunities Follow Value: During the week, one of the members of my book review board came up with a few thoughts to extend the impact of the book.
It was an opportunity that would not have shown up if I didn’t have a book that provided value.
Not just value - but relevant value.
This is a reminder that opportunities only open up when we show up with value.
People will be attracted to that value and will open doors of opportunity for us to shine.
I am getting that.
Let’s all keep stepping into the light.
With the unique value we bring.
2 - When God uses Human Reminders: I had an unusual God moment during the week.
I had thought of reaching out to someone about the possibility of getting her involved in something I was doing.
For some strange reason, I was a bit hesitant. I thought “It might not work.”
Out of the blue, another friend mentioned “I think you should reach out to this organisation for this stuff you are doing.”
The person I was hesitant to reach out to was the head of the organisation.
I took that as a God moment and reached out to her.
Guess what? She said yes.
I went back to the other friend and told her. She said it was a “word of knowledge” moment for her. The thought dropped to her mind and she shared it with me.
God uses human reminders to get the message out.
When I am sometimes too slow to get the gist.
Postscript
May your mind be wise enough to know when God is speaking to you through the people around you. Amen
