Howdy ,
Ted Turner was a bit name when I was growing up.
He was a billionaire. He founded CNN, WTBS which later became TBS, and in 1998 he donated $1 billion to create the United Nations Foundation, a public charity to support the activities of the United Nations (UN).
One other thing he co-created was Captain Planet, an environmental focused super hero.
Captain Planet and the Planeteers (5 kids from Africa, Europe, North America, Asia & South America) would go around to stop the Eco-villains, a small group of antagonists who cause danger to the planet through pollution, deforestation, poaching, and other environmentally unsafe activities.
Captain Planet only shows up when the Planeteers had tried and failed to stop a bad guy.
To "make" Captain Planet, the Planeteers would need to combine the power of their rings - oops, I didn't tell you that they had rings which controlled elemental forces like earth, fire, wind, water & heart.
The combined power of their rings brought Captain Planet, who was sure to take out the bad guys and serve the purpose of the show - saving the planet.
So, what's this ramble about an eco-based superhero?
Simple, by collaborating, the Planeteers were able to fight bad guys they could not on their own.
And this is what collaboration is going to get you in the workplace.
No, not help you beat up the bad guy. You wish.
Rather, it will help you deliver the superior service you want to deliver consistently to your clients & customers.
