Hello

Camouflage is an exploration of the complexities of relationships, and reflects on the many aspects of love and the choices we make in its pursuit.

Christmas in the Little Irish Village by Michelle Vernal

5 out of 5 stars A funny Christmas Family Drama

When Shannon's boyfriend, Julien, leaves her for someone else, Shannon's not only jilted but has to leave an apartment she loves as she can't afford it on her own. What else is there to do but return to the family home and try and get on with life?

The family home is The Shamrock Inn, in the tiny village of Emerald Bay, Galway, Ireland. Just a few days before Christmas the countdown for the family get-together starts, with all of Shannon's sisters returning for the holidays.

This is a lovely book. I really enjoyed it, and very often found myself chuckling at the Irish sayings and mannerisms. The author has done a grand job of bringing both her characters and Ireland to life. It is more a book about family than it is a romance. James (an American visitor staying at the inn) doesn't even appear until a quarter of the way through the book.

Very enjoyable, pleasant read.

It Came Upon a Midnight Clear by A. M. Heath

Alissa made a mistake and won't stop punishing herself. Luckily, she has a wonderful aunt who takes her under her wing. Stephen was an up-and-rising NFL star and made plans to use his fame to be a platform for the Lord. However, when an operation goes wrong his career comes crashing down. Looking for respite he goes to Cheery Inn for some rest and to try and come to terms with why God would allow this to happen. Mix up: two hurting people, one Christmas setting, and three friends, and what you have is a heartwarming story full of Christmas cheer and with a message of love and redemption.

Fa La La by Michelle Cornish

4 out of 5 stars A lovely, sweet, Christmas Romance

Lovely & Christmassy! If you want to kick your shoes off and curl up with a pleasant, easy-to-read Christmas romance, then this fits the bill!

When I first started reading and found out Robin and her friends were stealing from the hotel, I was put off and almost put the book down. I'm glad I didn't but the moral compass swings back into place by the end of the book. Robin's brother was in a car crash, lost his wife, lost his job, and worse of all his daughter ends up in a wheelchair, which is why Robin needs money. The hotel begins to suspect something is going on and calls in a firm of investigative accountants. What unfolds is a very sweet, Christmassy romance with a wonderful feel-good ending.

The best for last...

5 out of 5 stars A lovely, Christmas, Historical Romance

This book is a pure delight! Nothing but a sweet romance and Christmas! Perfect to totally switch off and unwind with. The etiquette for gentlemen book offers all the wrong advice to Edward Sharpe, who desperately wants to win the hand and heart of beautiful (inside and out) Sophie Appersett. This Victorian novella will suit fans of Jane Austen. A great little read, I loved it! This book was still free this morning, I hope it still is when you click on it.
