A bit more of my daughter's story

Hello Happy Readers!
It's been a busy week and I have managed to get the easter decorations up, so now my house is a rainbow of pastel colours in soft pinks, blues and yellows. Today we are off to Cadiz for a table tennis competition, so wish us good luck!
Below I managed to get my daughter to share some more of the story to carry on from last week. I hope you'll enjoy it!
My name is Lizabeth. Lizabeth Abaka.
There’s something about saying it out loud that makes it feel like a heavy secret, something I can’t quite grasp but still carries the weight of my whole life. It feels foreign sometimes, like it’s a name that belongs to someone else. But I am Lizabeth, and that name is all I have left.
I have sky-blue eyes. The kind of blue that you only see on a clear summer day when everything feels like it’s right in the world. Eyes that people noticed—sometimes with admiration, sometimes with curiosity. Eyes that always seemed to reflect something deeper, something lost, as if I were staring at the sky just a little too long, seeing the secret beyond the blue that no one else can see.
And then there’s the golden-brown hair. It swirls and tumbles around my shoulders, always messy no matter how hard I try to tame it. It’s strange, how something so simple can be so hard to get right. I used to love it—used to think it was a piece of me that kept me whole. But over time, the way it stopped glowing began to remind me of everything I had lost, everything that was taken from me.
Because I am an orphan.
Until next time,
Therese
