My daughter follows my footsteps

Hello Happy Readers!
I just had to share a snippet of my 11-year-old daughter's first draft of her first book. It hooked me! I'm so proud of her and hope she keeps up the good work. :)
SWORD IN THE DUST
Look, I never wanted to be an angel. But that’s how life handed me the card. Sure, it wasn’t the choice I’d have made, but sometimes, life doesn't care about your choices. It just drops you into the deep end and expects you to figure out how to swim.
Now, if you’re reading this because you’ve had dreams about floating, about your feet lifting off the ground without any explanation, then listen carefully: Close this book. Right now. Don’t ask questions. Don’t keep reading. Walk away. Because if you’ve got wings, even if you don’t understand them yet, you’re already on a path that will make everything else in your life feel like a lie.
But if you’re just an ordinary kid—if your feet stay firmly planted on the ground, and your biggest problem is homework or bullies—well, lucky you. For now, at least.
But there’s something you need to know. If you’ve seen monsters—if you’ve felt that shiver up your spine when you’re walking home alone at night, if you’ve seen eyes watching you from the shadows or heard whispers when no one’s around—then get ready.
