I've got some books you'll like—what do you say?

Hello again!

In the last newsletter I asked what everyone's favourite dragon stories were. I got a long list of stories worth recommending, so I thought I'd start off in this newsletter with some of them. I whittled it down to the names that came up most often:

Temeraire, Naomi Novik
Heartstrikers series, Rachel Aaron
Dragon Prince, Melanie Rawn
Inheritance cycle, Christopher Paolini

If you've been into dragon stories for a long time, you'll probably be aware of some or all of these. But if you're only just getting into them, these all come highly recommended and cover a range of styles and tones, so I'm sure there's something for everyone there.

What have I been up to?

A lot of things, some of them writing.

I'm still making slow, steady progress on the Elixir of Power series. As I get closer to the time when it will be available for beta readers, I might make some newsletters with a potions / alchemy theme. The history of alchemy is so interesting, I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about!

I've also been busy promoting The Dragon That Never Was—still. I have been very fortunate in receiving a lot of good feedback, and it has sold more copies than a lot of my other books. I still can't quite pay the bills with my book income, but it sure is nice to know people look at it and think, "Yes, I want to read that."

I want to say a big 'Thank You' to everybody who reached out to get a review copy, promoted the book on social media, or just had nice things to say to me about the book. I really, truly appreciate it.
