Still editing hard! Here's some trivia about my upcoming book

Hello again!

I've been feverishly editing and formatting and organising cover art lately, and there hasn't been much time for anything else.

Hopefully, War with Elves will be out before the end of the year. I'd like to say something more firm than 'hopefully.' I'd like to say 'War with Elves will definitely come out before the 5th of December.'

But I know very well that setting a strict deadline like that would be tempting fate.

So let's stick with 'hopefully.'

A bit of trivia about War with Elves

It's the first time I've embarked on a trilogy
It's the longest book I've ever written
It's the first book of mine to feature an elephant-sized tortoise (about time, right?)
It's the most work I've ever done for a book
It's the book I planned the longest before I started writing -- Outlining alone took me 8 months to finalize (while working on other stuff, but still!)
It's my first book to be in a flintlock setting, and my first time including Tolkein-style elves
It includes the largest vocabulary of words from a language I've constructed, and the most fleshed-out grammatical rules.

I'm sorry I don't have much else for you this time around. Hopefully by the next newsletter I'll have a firmer date for you, and maybe the cover art will be ready for a showing!
