Hello again!

Yes, you read the subject line correctly!

The book is ready for beta readers! At long, long last, it is ready to be seen by eyes other than my own. It has already been entrusted to my number 1 beta reader—my dear wife—so I can happily report that the first few chapters have been approved by 100% of the people who have read them.

If you would like to join my beta reader team, please reply directly to this email. I will follow up with instructions on how to get your beta copy and what kind of feedback I'm interested in.

The book will come in mobi, epub, and/or pdf format, whichever you prefer. As convenient as the Storyorigin beta reading feature can be on my end, it causes more problems than it solves. So we'll just do it the old-fashioned way - I give you the book, you tell me what you think.

Obviously it would be preferable if you have already read Book 1 of the trilogy, 'War with Elves,' but if you haven't that is not a deal breaker. I can give up to five free copies of Book 1 to beta readers that need it. Otherwise, I am including a brief synopsis of Book 1 for those who haven't read it, because feedback on how Book 2 works as a stand-alone is still valuable.

Mini-Blurb for the series & Book 2:

Madea and the Elarim have been at war for centuries, on and off. It is a fact of life. Also, for Madea, it is the foundation of a large and lucrative weapons industry. Why change it?

Fentor almost won the war for Madea, but his blasted conscience got in the way. Instead of destroying the elves, he ended up saving them. And the fabulously wealthy Lady Talentus is regrouping for another bite of the apple. Guerrilla warfare seems to be the only option for Fentor's rag-tag team of veterans, petty criminals, and one particularly belligerent sheep.

As a half-elf, Slee had never particularly liked humans or elves. After escaping imprisonment with a group of half-decent humans, it seemed they had half a chance of living their lives peacefully, half-removed from the dangers of the war. But half may not be enough. Fentor is badgering her to join his bloodthirsty, militaristic campaign, but Slee is trying to build something different, something that won't repeat the cycle of war all over again. And while the war gives her a headache, the humans and their petty bickering are just about doing her head in ...

I am very much looking forward to hearing from you if you do decide to beta read.

As always, I've included a veritable feast of book below by authors like me. Enjoy!
