Hello again!

I write to you from the (usually) hot and sunny Bunbury, Western Australia on a day that is mercifully cool and overcast. That's right -- as the northern half of the world warms up, those of us on the southern half get to enjoy a reprieve from oppressive humidity and heat.

I love the cooler months!

The rain, the dead leaves, the chance to use my fireplace, the greening of my lawn's dead patches, the cosy nights and crisp mornings—I love all of it.

Maybe I'm enjoying the weather a bit too much, though, because I've stalled a bit with writing. I'm hoping to get back on that horse soon and start the final draft of 'The Dustmakers', since a good amount of feedback has come through. Many thanks to my beta readers! If you're still reading, though, no worries—there's still time, and any feedback you have will be immensely useful.

Once The Dustmakers is done and dusted (sorry), I'll place my nose firmly on the grindstone and get the draft for Elixir of Power book 2 done.

Creativity comes and goes in waves, so I'm not worried. Life just gets busy, and my poor little brain gets overwhelmed and depleted.

Thankfully, as the boss of my own deadlines, I've decided to cut myself some slack and take all the time I need to recharge. I'll get back to it when I'm ready.
