Snowy Christmas Greetings!

Dec 09, 2022 10:08 am

Dear ,

It has been a while since I've reached out to you, but I wanted to give you an update and share how things are changing for me as we hit 2023...

First up, I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year. The snow came early here, settling in November, now heavy and thick and white, with temperatures remaining well below 0 for the next few weeks, promising a white Christmas here in Tallinn.

One bonus of the snow... one of our cats fell from the balcony the other week (we're on the third floor!) and landed in the snow (which must have helped to soften the landing). She ran around to the front of the building, where I spotted her from the window, and dashed down, heart ponding, to let her in.

She was absolutely fine.

Needless to say, she's not once jumped up onto the bar again. She's learned her lesson!

It's a miracle she knew where to go, really. They don't go outside (very common here in Estonia), though as kittens, we did take them out on leads. They went around the building a bit.

She must have remembered the way when she fell!

We've got them adult leads this Christmas, so will try and walk them further... perhaps the forest, maybe even the beach?! Oh, the adventures...

Anyway, that's something I didn't think I was going to say, but hey, I'm sure you found it funny.

I've redone my website recently, ready for what I'll be using it for from 2023 onwards. And that is (together with this email list) for all my communications.

I'm coming off social media.

I talked about why that is here. I'll do a seven day exit in January so that everyone has the chance to see/hear should they wish to stay in touch, but after that, I'm moving onto my website for all updates.

Take a look at the new layout: http://www.timheathbooks.com/

I just wrote a blog update there talking about my screenwriting side of things. You can read that here if you're interested. It updates on two placements my debut script has already had in competitions!

No New Releases In 2022

This year will be the first year in a long time that I haven't released any new titles. That's because, since signing with Conundrum Publishing in January, they've been slowly re-releasing my Hunt series. They are up to seven titles now, The Acting President releasing last week, with the final two due early in 2023. You can see all these new covers here. Don't they look amazing!

Next year will see a continuation, though I'm yet to decide if I should release some additional books myself, or wait for Conundrum.

However, I have been writing! I probably have the biggest backlog of titles ever, with five new books at various stages of completeness, so there will be fresh stuff from me soon, whether you are a beta reader, or just an expectant fan!

I'm sorry to have kept you waiting... don't forget about me, and I'll have something for you soon!

What To Expect In 2023

I want to make sure I keep communicating. The website is going to be more central for me for that. I've cleaned it up, narrowed it down, made his sharper and more stylish. I'll use the blog to post regular news on a variety of topics (trackable by tags). You can also follow the website easily and for free, and the top link in this email details how to do that.

I will be re-editing all my original books next year, with Cherry Picking being re-released with a new cover and insides in April. All six existing stand-alone books will be re-released next year. They are currently still available online (Christmas is coming!), but I will need to take them down not long into the new year.

Paperbacks are still not yet ready for The Hunt series (with Conundrum). They are also in the process of doing an audio version of the series. Whether these will all be ready by the end of next year, I do not know.

Easier Than Ever Reader Map

In the website makeover, I discovered an even simpler way for people to let me know where they've read my books. In case you've been somewhere different this year, reading one of mine on your kindle on some beach or mountain or valley, then why not let me know here and I'll add it to the map!

Warm Farewell

I'll leave things there, but do want to wish you the very best for the holiday ahead and that you would stay well, stay safe, and have an excellent 2023.

God bless,

Thanks for being with me on this journey.

Tim
