Something new... and a long list of Christmas ideas....

Dear readers!

I don't write often (some of you are already wondering, who is this guy?) because I don't believe in filling up your inbox with weekly, unnecessary emails. When I do write, I would like them to mean something.

Of course, I do run the risk of being forgotten (some still thinking, seriously, did I ever sign up to his mailing list? NB - you did, once, perhaps a long long time ago). I guess that is the complex, busy world we live in.

Some of you will remember that I shifted from writing full-time to working in a school full-time a little over two years ago now (I'm in my third year at the school). And while this slowed me down in terms of writing, I still am, am still releasing, even if my range and genres are now expanding.

This last week, I released my first illustrated children's book, which I want to share with you here. It came out of a class joke with my new class of students this summer. I kept calling them all Bob, on that very first day, as a fun way of getting their names right. And the character sort of grew from there.

I then decided that it would be fun to surprise them by writing the story (at the time of preparing this email, I haven't even shared it with the class yet. I'm doing that on Monday morning!). I have shared it with an older group (my original class from 2 years ago who are now in their third year) and they loved it! I haven't heard them listen so quietly for so long, because there is a bit of Bob in all of us.

I think the character connects with children because at times we all feel a bit lost, a bit confused, as we search for something familiar. That's Bob, a boy from Bobland, where everything has Bob in it's name, and he finds himself in a playground with other children far from home... and starts asking them if their name is Bob!

It's a heartwarming tale of friendship, discovery, and finding your way home.

imageI've released it under my other author name T. P. Heath (as with the Twiggy Rattlesnake books and the collections of Seriously Smart Shorts) as this better fits with the readership, though this one is primarily for my youngest readers yet, probably in the 4-9 age range.

Perhaps you have some grandchildren, children, nephews, nieces, friends who you know would love such a book for Christmas?

I've deliberately only made it available in premium quality paperback (not as an eBook) because I think such a book for kids needs to be real, something they can hold, and definitely not on a device.

The book is available on all Amazon sites. Here is one link to get you started: https://amzn.to/4oN3sNg

Ratings and reviews for Is Your Name Bob? would be much appreciated too once you've had a chance to read it.

Also New This Last Month!

I have also bundled all my Tim Heath titles into various boxsets (7 now, and counting) and these went live this last month. They are all being read ferociously in Kindle Unlimited right now, which is exciting to see.

On Amazon, in the USA, UK, and Germany, there is a series page listing all the boxsets, showing their beautiful covers and the titles listed in each set. Here is a link for the US site:
