Happy December, Dear Readers!
I know it's barrel-aged stout season (ask my bank account), but we thought we should take time out to explore Hoppy Beers this month. What are the most-used hops? What are breweries doing to get more hops into our favorite styles? What's an IBU? How bitter is a Bitter? Why is there an old electronic football game board on the label of Dogfish Head 90-Minute IPA?
I wouldn't call it a "Hoppy Beer Extravaganza" unless I was drinking.

🗒️ Vivian Le and the Beer Labels of Lo Rez Brewing
"The fun but challenging part of these labels is that I have to figure out how to work with all these different color palettes first while being able to incorporate some type of narrative in what I'm drawing on the label."
🗒️ Mike Moses and the Beer Labels of Nepenthe Brewing
I found Mike Moses and Nepenthe Brewing while reviewing candidates for our Best Beer Labels of 2020 and, honestly, shame on you readers for not sending more votes his way.
His work belongs right at the top of the best labels out there and I felt obligated to put them front-and-center in your eye holes.
As always, stay safe, but also, stay warm!
Cheers!
