I will never forget this moment from being a first time mom.

I was about to introduce my best friend to my brand new baby. This was the first time I was sharing her with someone not contractually obligated to adore my child. (family)

You see, this is a friendship formed when we were both thirteen years old. A sister of my soul. To say this moment was monumental to me is an understatement.

Would she see the incredible miracle I saw each time I looked at my bundle of joy?

The beauty and potential in that precious, tiny face? Or would she tell me straight that, somehow, I was seeing with the eyes of a mother and my kid was a funky, squishy, blob?

The anticipation rode me for weeks before the main event.

My heart was in my throat while I waited for the knock on the door. I almost didn't want to face the moment and instead run and hide away in the bedroom.

This past week, I revisited that moment with my business baby...
