Beware of Burnout

Taking on too much is tempting with the end of the year fast approaching. A focus on how far there is still to go to reach our goals, adds pressure to every step. It is just as possible to overwhelm ourselves in the pursuit of passions which bring us joy. In the end, the result is the same.

To keep on course for the destination you set at the start of this year, it is necessary to set a sustainable pace. Even and especially with the holidays approaching. Do not give into the temptation to pile on until the load is too much to bear. Passion fuels us only until the flame exhausts itself. Be careful not to burn out.

Final Harvest

This Friday we have the chance to celebrate! With the final reaping of the year's blessings, Mother Earth prepares herself for the long sleep of winter's embrace. This transition is also happening in the energetic realms as well.

What separates the world we live in from that of the spiritual plane becomes it's thinnest at this point in the cycle. Making this an ideal time to honor those who have gone before, the lessons we've learned, and give thanks for the blessings they've brought.

I also like to think of this as the perfect time to pause and truly celebrate. With the commencement of the holiday season, we are reminded to slow down. To savor the things which matter the most. To create magical moments with those we hold dear.

Leading up to that celebration, I personally take time to plan my year ahead. Because to truly do this planning justice, I (and my clients) work through each of these steps first. Taking stock of what has been harvested, what is being laid to rest, and what connects us to those who came before and what is unseen.

Once this has been done, plans can be made from a clear perspective. Then we can celebrate fully!
