Let me ask you a question... Are you waiting for permission?

Because I was. And I didn't even realize it.

We are conditioned to ask for permission from our earliest age and this is an expectation that travels with us all through our lives. It dictates the way we act, the choices we feel allowed to make, the possibilities we accept for ourselves.

It really does go on and on. The most insidious thing about all this, is that we may not even recognize that it's happening.

This is something I've come face to face with many times over the years and never more powerfully then this year as I own the role the Universe has asked me to step into.

This week's card is a powerful call to shake things up when it comes to this tendency. That along with the resources I have to share, well I think you'll find they're game changers.

Turn the Doubts Around

It IS time and you ARE ready. All those doubts and excuses which have been holding you back, time to clear them away. For too long that inner critic has been keeping you confined in a web of lies. Cutting you off from all the happiness and heights you're meant for. The time has come to turn it all around.

Flip the script so that the same things which kept you stuck, are now what sets you free. Turn ‘I can't’ or ‘I shouldn't’ into, ‘What if I could…’. It is in the nature of the Universe to test us, but you are MORE than capable of rising to the occasion. Turn those doubts around so that you may find your joy and luck.

Mother's Day Reminder

This Sunday, we celebrate mothers and the love that brings into our lives. Be it the love we hold as mothers for our children, the love we hold for our own mothers, and every form maternal devotion takes.

This can be a wonderful time, it can also be a difficult reminder for many. For those Mom-preneurs out there, it can be a time where we struggle with that guilt we all know so well.

Between the children we give birth to and the business we give life, it's a high demand on just 24 hours in a day.

So this Mother's Day, I invite you to join me in a practice I have found powerful when the guilt monster tries to assert itself.

1. Dedicate Time - Devote some time to being with your family as the priority
2. Count Your Blessings - Truly sit in gratitude of all your life has brought
3. Be Celebrated - Yes, this is a hard one but let yourself be celebrated as devotedly as you celebrate those you love
4. Align Plans - After you've enjoyed the day to the fullest, take time to have a dialogue so that your business and your family are on the same page

This is an important but often difficult and overlooked dynamic to owning a business and being a mom. Which is why I host a quarterly Family Alignment Sessions for my Deluxe clients. Allowing these important conversations to happen in a fun, active, and creative low-pressure setting.
