7 Steps to take this New Year that will better your writing career.

1. Read from the masters. Read books on writing and other aspects of writing related to your genre of interest.

2. Make free-writing your friend. Who knows what beauty could be crafted in those unguarded moments?

3. Arrange to attend literary events. There are many events for writers both online and offline, try to attend one you will end up with better info and wilder friends.

4. Collaborate with another creative. Do something weird or normal, it’s up to you.

5. Submit, submit, submit. Submit to magazines, publishers and query agents. Follow our monthly article listing open submission calls on the blog.

6. Self-publish if you are up for it.

We suggest you use an editor and proofreader if you want to go down this path. Try Tracey if you need an editor that can give you feedback.
