Folorunsho Ahmed A.
Unbroken Pen
You can ask a Poet
That marries the night
With a price of coffee,
What journals’ nose mask
Looks like, at his post-box
Are his words really contagious?
Like a virus
Not to be spread in market
Of anthologies and issues calls
Or the chambers of editors
Are just sick of his erring words;
Injected in his craft
But rendering the theme lifeless
You may choose sack my
Art at work
Yet again, another broken heart,
But the legs of the pen
Remains unbroken
– It shall continue
To dance to Poetry.
