Friends,
some of you may have noticed that last week I didn't send my weekly newsletter. I was moving to my new apartment, and it was Black Friday. Most of the emails I've received were promotional, so I had almost nothing interesting in my email inbox to read.
Plus, the last three weeks were intense, and I was super tired. Actually, this is the first week when I could sit and work on my projects.
And I have some good things to share with you.
๐ป Niche Website Project Update #2
I just wrapped up my progress and the work I've completed on my public project - Case Study: Building a Profitable Niche Website. Here is a link to November's update. Enjoy it :)
๐ฎ I Got a Link back from Business.com
"Good things happen to those who hustle." Here is a link to the article.
How I acquired this link? Through HARO. In one of the previous emails, I've mentioned that I will be experimenting with HARO to build links from high authority websites, which are usually out of my league (almost impossible to outreach if you don't know a particular writer).
My tactic is to answer ASAP to a query, immediately after I receive it in my inbox. It took 3-4 weeks for this article to air. So I guess some patience is also required when doing link building with HARO.
Perhaps it's luck. "But the harder I work, the luckier I get."
I plan to contribute to HARO regularly and see if I was lucky or it actually works.
๐ฅ But hey, a free do-follow link from Business.com is worth a glass of Metaxa (the sound of pouring it into my glass).๐
๐ธ๏ธ Google Released the December Broad Core Update
So far, I haven't noticed anything to be shaking my websites. Everything seems to be within the norms - no love, no hate received after the core update was rolled out.
But there is always time for Google to wishes you a late 'Merry Christmas." ๐
Let me know if this core update has hit anyone's website.
Since I'm behind my work schedule, I am going back to work while enjoying my cognac.
Own your future, Friends!

๐ If you're enjoying my Donuts about Marketing newsletter, I'd love it if you shared it with a friend (or three). You can send them this link.
I'm always open to feedback and suggestions.
