Take #2! I Fell... And Other News
Oct 08, 2023 3:31 am
I apologize, my first attempt did not have the complete and correct email list, so you may receive this twice.
I will admit, it has taken me much too long to write this email. WHY, you ask? We finally have fall weather and I've been soaking up every bit of it I can with time outside!
Before we get to where I fell in the surprising turn in writing events, I want to talk about Seize the Moment.
Can you believe in less than a week you'll be able to get your hands on a copy of the final anthology in the Seize the World series?
This first experience in publishing anthologies has been a fantastic opportunity that I am so glad to have done with M. L. Milligan. I am so glad she and I did it, and we've had so many lovely readers, and I hope you enjoy the final anthology as much as we enjoyed publishing it.
If you haven't already gotten your copy you can pre-order the paperback you can find it here and the ebook is here!
Retail sites also have the ebook, however, it is priced $2 more than it is on Beyond the Bookery due to fees through the retail sites.
Now for that falling down a hole! I was speaking with a friend about doing some editing work for me for some of the anthologies I'm publishing. Simple enough, right?
Well, during that conversation we got to talking about fairy tales, fantasy, and whatnot. Which has led to this little announcement.
I am collaborating a 12-book series of non-magical Christian fantasy novellas!
If you are an author you have until October 25th to audition for a slot!
The current lineup of authors includes Kendra E. Ardnek, Madysin Carlin, and Rachel Kovaciny, and more wonderful authors!
I've been writing up a storm... Okay, not really. I've been writing on and off. But I have a good excuse! I've been focusing on publishing and formatting a couple of stories!
More on that next month, but for now, I would love to invite you to join the street team for a collection I am in!
I would love for you to read Those Days... It is a story I've wanted to share for a long time, I just never felt like the time was right until now.
Be sure to join the street team here!
My last announcement for this newsletter is for the next publishing opportunity from Beyond the Bookery!
If you are an author you won't want to miss the submissions for An Armed Heart!
This anthology set will be a little different than the Seize the World ones were. Not in a bad way, just a tad different with stories a little longer! My stories are some that I've been eager to write.
If you love WWII fiction, you don't want to miss my stories in the series!
That's all for my book news.
Let's catch up with some friends' news and what I've been up to lately!
I haven't been reading... But I have started a book, which I am loving so far! That book is IRON by Madisyn Carlin. It's one that I've had on my TBR for a while now, so I really need to finish it.
I also HIGHLY recommend that you check out her ARROWS and subscribe to her newsletter here.
ARROWS is a nonmagical new adult Christian fantasy retelling of Mulan releasing on October 24th, 2023, and is the second book in the Redwyn Chronicles.
With the nice cold autumn weather, I've been in the baking mood. And in the mood for some pumpkin!
This means I've been listening to lots of Stars Go Dim, for King & Country, and High Valley because that's not a weird mix while baking some yummy gluten and dairy-free pumpkin cobbler and enjoying it with cinnamon coffee.
With that delicious snack, dessert, or, ehhh, breakfast, I've been working on a new story for Wild Blue Press Wonder's upcoming anthology (more info here).
This little story is trying its best to become a full novella and not the short story it is meant to be... Silly thing! It's a bittersweet story, that's all I'm saying for now!
