PE Teaching in 2023

Hi ,

The internet is pretty cool. Last week I stumbled across a tool which allows you to take a look at a website at any point in history.

I set up The PE Classroom in 2017, soon after the new 9-1 specifications were brought in at GCSE level. There were very few resources available so I built up my own bank of work-booklets and assessment materials whilst teaching the course. Soon after, I started to tinker with creating a website in order to share these resources with other PE teachers.

Fast forward 6 years (and a few grey hairs...) and I am fortunate to be working with an outstanding team as we support our 250 member schools with resources and materials for a range of Physical Education courses. Our overall community has hit over 10000 PE teachers and this academic year we have had 1500 teachers attend our webinars and support events.

But....we really are only just getting started. Education, teaching and PE will continue to change and The PE Classroom will keep evolving in order to offer you and your pupils the greatest level of support. I genuinely wake up in the morning and consider what else we can do to support PE teachers! So I have one question for you today - what else would you like to see from The PE Classroom? This could be support for a particular course, a certain type of resource or activity, coursework framework, an online learning feature, or something entirely different. If you can spare 1 minute please hit reply and let me know your thoughts.

Nostalgia Time

The image below looks back at The PE Classroom from 2017 - today! We have the same aim now as when I set-up the site in 2017 and that is to 'Offer the greatest level of support as possible to Physical Education teachers'.
