'Winning' Starter Resource

Hi ,
The last few years have been tough for both pupils and teachers.
However, the saving grace for pupils has been that although they have suffered the covid consequences of disrupted learning, online lessons, staff absences etc, they have in return benefited from more favourable grade boundaries.
For the class of 2023 it seems as though they have suffered from all (or at least most) of the pitfalls but will be looking at grades that are 'more in line with pre-covid levels'.
This is one of the major reasons that we are looking to support ALL PE teachers and pupils with free access to Pupil Gateway (videos, quizzes, exam questions, interactive content, tracking) from now until the end of the school year. To get involved all you need to do is attend a short webinar this evening (over 500 PE teachers signed up so far), where I will show you exactly how you can get started with Pupil Gateway.
If you teach GCSE PE, A Level PE or Cambridge Nationals courses then you are a very small step away from saving yourself hours of time whilst maximising the performance of your pupils. Click below to find out more and to sign-up (last chance!)....
'Winning' - Starter Resource
On Sunday, Australia won the T20 World Cup for the 6th time since 2010. This week's Starter looks at other dominant sports teams over the course of history and asks your pupils to consider the positives and negatives of always being on the winning side. Do your pupils always want to win? What motivates them to succeed in sport? Cue discussion!
Click below to take a look and download this Starter Activity.
As always, let me know if you have any questions at all and enjoy the rest of the week.
Best wishes,
Tom & The PE Classroom Team
