You are receiving this email because you and your PE department have a GCSE PE membership at The PE Classroom.

I hope you have had a great summer break and that you are looking forward to getting back on the sports field and into the classroom this autumn! We have had a busy summer at The PE Classroom as we look to continue to improve and update the platform for you and your pupils.

Important Information/Updates

• 'GCSE Classroom' was the area pupils were using to login and access videos, quizzes and exam questions. We have moved this area to the main PE Classroom site and renamed it 'Pupil Gateway'. I have no doubt that this will simplify things and make everything more user friendly for you and your pupils
• We have shortened and multiplied the videos on Pupil Gateway. This is a deliberate attempt to split learning into small chunks and to ensure that pupils' attention will not drift as they are watching each video
• Videos are now followed by a few 'checkpoint questions' for pupils to answer.
• Teachers can now view quiz results for every unit as well as still being able to view answers to exam questions and any self-assessment that is made by pupils

Your Pupils/Classes

• Your pupil logins and classes will still be intact from last year and these can be found in your Teacher Dashboard
• We imagine that you may well wish to change the names of classes (e.g. from Year 10 to Year 11). You are also likely to have the need to set up new classes (e.g. new Year 10 classes). For new classes we simply need to know the name of the class(es) and the name and email address of the class teacher(s). This information can be sent to tom@thepeclassroom.com
• Creating new pupil logins is quick and easy. The process is outlined via a short video in our Support section (click below)

We want to make sure that you and your pupils are using The PE Classroom to its full potential this year. I would be more than happy to run a quick Teams call with you (and your department?) in order to go through the various features on the platform, so that it will both save you time and enhance pupil learning this academic year.
