Messed Up One Meal? Here’s What to Do in 3 steps

Mar 13, 2025 2:56 pm

Happy Thursday!

Let’s talk about something that happens to all of us—those moments when you eat something off track and think,

“Well, I’ve already messed up... might as well eat whatever I want for the rest of the day.”

Sound familiar?

But here’s the truth...

One meal doesn’t define your day.

What actually matters is what you do next.

The Mediterranean diet isn’t about guilt or perfection ...

It’s about balance, long-term habits, and learning to enjoy food in a way that supports your health.

So What Should You Do If You Slip Up?

✔️1) Let it go. One meal, one snack, one indulgence does not erase your progress. Move on.

No guilt. No punishing yourself.

✔️ 2) Make your next meal nourishing. Have a simple Mediterranean-inspired meal like a Greek salad, a bowl of lentil soup, or grilled fish with veggies.

Get back on track immediately—no “waiting until Monday.”

✔️ 3) Remember the 80/20 Rule. If 80% of your meals are balanced and nourishing, you will see progress.

That 20%? It’s life. Enjoy it and keep going.

Progress happens when you don’t let small slip-ups turn into full setbacks.

So, what’s your next meal?

Make it one that makes you feel good, and keep moving forward.

To consistency (not perfection),

Alright.

You got this.
