Welcome to the 14 21 new subs this week!

Over the weekend, Biden said the pandemic was "over" during an interview with 60 minutes.

YADA YADA YADA - Who cares.

He also downplayed the 40-year record high inflation. Which just goes to show you that following along with the mainstream media is often pointless.

But that doesn't mean there aren't newsworthy stories that Americans ought to be paying attention to... This where the parallel economy comes into play...

You see, one of the greatest attributes to alternative social media is discovering the stories we aren't supposed to notice. I'm talking about the ones that get censored, suppressed, or buried under the 1000s of pointless headlines.

(Example: Kim Kardashian on the cover of some new magazine)

There's a lot of useful information that can help everyday Americans. And there is a lot of practical advice being shared on places like Gab from real people instead of so-called experts who aren't as smart as they think they are.

The following is a question I get asked a lot:

Question: There's so much news and stuff going on. It's overwhelming. I want to contribute and devote my energy towards something. What can I do?

In today's email, learn how to:

  • Find a niche on Gab
  • Answer problems, become a topic expert
  • Turn expertise into business / side hustle

Social media is best for gathering and sharing information.

After Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube began censoring content that wasn't politically correct, free-speech aficionados felt obligated to migrate to new platforms like Gab, Truth, and Rumble.

Twas' same when people switched from Google to DuckDuckGo.

Users felt they had to make a search engine switch because big brother Google wielded too much power over what it allowed people to see versus what it *wanted* them to see.

Once DuckDuckGo betrayed its users, they immediately moved to Brave. And more people made the switch then you might realize.

In the parallel economy world, people like us are prepared to switch platforms *as often as needed* because we recognize the importance of uncensored speech. Once an app is comprised, we jump ship. Have to.

Chasing Truth is far more important than convenience.

Because of that high bar, Gab is the most popular alternative social media platform right now. At - what I hear - is 78M site visits per month.

Users trust Gab. And they support its free speech mantra (which I'm 99% sure is just a copy pasted blurb from the US constitution lol).

Gab has done a great job of attracting people of all walks of life, including those that don't typically use social media (like older generations, haters of big tech, etc.), which says a lot about the various kinds of people you can interact with.

These people have questions about all sorts of things like:

Like I said in the beginning, social media is best for gathering and sharing information. So one way to play a part in the parallel economy is to help people with their questions and problems in an area *you* have experience in.

Eventually, you'll become an expert in the space. And people will notice.

Here's how.

Become an expert

  • Choose 1 niche area to focus on, then clean up your Gab profile to reflect what you do for people. Make it clear and concise.

  • Next, create daily content that talks about the challenge(s) you solve. And remember to always add value.

  • Respond to questions in groups / ask people probing questions to learn more about their specific situations.

  • Pro tip: Polls are a great way to get a high response rate on your questions because they are anonymous. This means people will be more willing to contribute if they are not associated with their answer.

  • DM people when they respond to your content. In your message, ask if they would be willing to talk for free to see if you can help them further.

  • Talk with as many people as you can and take notes. Listen for pain points, and be intentional about learning the innerworkings of their dilemma.

  • Once you have spoken to enough people, and have a found a way to help their problem (whether that be a product, service, ebook, etc.), create a process / plan for scaling so that you can help more people passively.

I have personally learned so much through interactions. I have also helped many by being active online. There are real people behind the keyboards, and they are using alternative social media to get the information they cannot from big tech platforms like Google.

IMPORTANT: As a side point, SEO services like Yoast are already implementing features to make the internet a more inclusive place. In other words, Google is going to favor content that implements politically correct language. Think about what this will mean for the future? Sites that do not accept new norms like men can get pregnant will not be allowed to be on the front pages of Google. Which is all the more reason to start searching and building your presence on alt search engines. Do the work now to avoid headaches in the coming years.

Now I am going to show you a simplified way to create an additional revenue stream by leveraging your expertise. Since you now have found a way to help people solve their problems - turn it into a business.

  • Take your process / product (whatever it might be) and turn it into a website / landing page. When people need help with their problem, direct them to the page and use easy payment options like Stripe to collect payments.

  • Offer free items like a PDF of 150+ alternative sources to collect email addresses so you can better engage and provide value to your target demographic. This will be important for growing your business and keeping up with a content strategy.

  • Continue to answer questions so that you can learn more about what you don't know so you can quickly learn it and become a better expert. Then, eventually, you can move into different niches.

Think about the opportunities! If you charge clients for consulting sessions:

  • 2 calls per week at $150 an hour = $1,300 per month.
  • 3 calls per week at $150 an hour = $1,950 per month.
  • 3 calls per week at $250 an hour = $3,250 per month

Point is, I believe everyone on this email list would be better off with an extra $1,000 per month. And I also believe they would benefit from sharing their expertise (whether that be homeschooling, homesteading, side businesses, or whatever!) with like-minded Americans who are eagerly looking for practical info and wisdom. There are people out there who could use your help.

Only questions that remain: How will you play your part? And how can you help make the alternative social media space better by offering value?

Only you know the answers to those questions. Hope this was helpful.
