How to keep a healthy gut microbiome?

Nov 27, 2022 7:00 am

Dear ,

Let’s talk about gut health.

Bago natin alamin yan, let’s understand first what the gut microbiome is.

Gut means bituka.

The gut microbiome refers to two things.

First, it refers to the collective population of little organisms that naturally live in the human gut.

Second, it also refers to the environment present in the gut that supports the microorganism living in it.

Kapag na break down na ang pagkain at na separate na ang bawat useful nutrient from the waste, kaya na itong ma absorb sa cells lining our intestines that will be carried through the blood vessels around the different parts of our body.

Yes, the population of the helpful bacteria must be in the right proportion to the harmful bacteria. Usually, nasa 95%-5% ang ratio ng good to bad microorganism to maintain a healthy microbiome.

Kaya kapag nag give in ka sa cravings na to, you are feeding these harmful bacteria kaya mas lalong dadami ang populasyon nila. Then the cravings will keep happening again and again and again dahil malaki ang demand ng mga bacteria na to sa loob ng bituka mo.

It’s actually a trick of the harmful microorganism to make you feed them food that will support their growth.

Pero kapag kumakain ka ng healthy foods, you are doing the reverse. Majority rules. And the winner takes it all.

So anong magagawa natin to bring back balance inside our gut microbiome?

Support the good.

  1. Exercising
  2. Drinking enough water every day
  3. Eating high-fiber foods
  4. Eating a balanced, nutrient-densed diet
  5. Eating or drinking food/drink rich in probiotics
  6. Basically maintaining a healthy lifetsyle

  1. Anti-biotics
  2. Excessive sugar intake
  3. Chronic stress
  4. Diet that is not balanced and lacks nutrition
  5. Dehydration
  6. Binge alcohol consumption
  7. Basically not maintaining a healthy lifetsyle

So if you want to stay healthy, alin dito ang pipiliin mo?

Remember, you are 100% responsible for what happens to your life.

Lahat yan may consequence.

Kaya if you want a better health, make better choices to support it.

If you want a better life, make better choices in order to get it.

Pero di mo kailangan mag overthink.

Para hindi ka ma stuck sa pag-ooverthink at you end up not making the better choice after all.

Not doing anything is still a choice.

The question lang is, is it the better choice?

What choices are you going to make this week to move you forward to becoming healthy ?

I hope and pray that you will have guidance in making these choices.

Have a blessed week ahead.

Nagmamahal,
